A new addition to our family

Before anyone asks no it isn’t another baby.Five children is plenty for us.Tommorow we are getting a kitten and we’ll have another to join it in a few weeks.I’ve had cats before and they really suit our madhouse as they can be both affectionate and independent. We are currently trying to think of a good name for our new addition, one which everyone will be happy with and to be honest we are getting nowhere fast.At this rate we’ll have a Cat called Cat.My eldest son and I like the name Bob.The cat we are getting is a black male.Any suggestions? I’ll add photo’s  later this week.

Hi Clare,In the past I’ve had cats called Rio,Murphy,Lucky,Toby and Ebony. My mum has a cat called Alfie and my brother has a cat called Genie. We are picking the kitten up tommorow afternoon and still no closer to deciding upon a name.Might have to see what his character is like then decide.Saying that I’ve just suggested Bailey and everyone likes it so maybe our kitten does have a name after all.I ordered a really cool toy off ebay today and we are off to the pet shop tommorow morning,do your kittens have a proper cat bed or just sleep anywhere? I like the look of the scratching posts with a hidey hole for the cat to escape to.

i brought them both their own cat baskets and blankets so they were used to them and not freaked out for vet visits, and this lasted about a week now they sleep where they please, which ranges from my wardrobe, my bed, sofa, on top of mouse cage, on my shoes, any empty boxes and even in my craft box. they have a huge box of toys, and i mean huge but they perfer the feather on the fairy lights in li’s room lol. they love their scratch posts and they have a little island with palm tree and toy on it and they like to stretch out in the sun on it. xx

As of today we are now a 3 cat household.A lady was getting rid of 2 and I couldnt resist, they are Maisie and Oscar, they’ve grown up together and as planned Bailey, our Black kitten. We have bought 2 cat baskets which we brought them home in a few toys and a scratch pad/mat,I’ve ordered a cat igloo and a toy off ebay,so far they seem to be settling in well. They are lovely, friendly cats who love a bit off a fuss.Good job really as they’ll get plenty here.Maisie is good at hiding,Oscar is braver and has already let Bailey know he’s boss-a bit of hissing and a very arched back,Baileys response was to run off quite quickly.None of them were too sure when Ethan started crying earlier.Oscar has taken a shine to the windowsill in Dylan and Jacks room.

We have called him Bailey but we are still getting another kitten in a few weeks. The 3 we got yesterday are all finding quiet places out of the way to hide. They are all beautiful cats. The kitten is Black and very fluffy, the adult male is a burmese cross-beautiful markings and coat and the female is a bit of a mixture.I’ll add pics when they sit still long enough.
