Hello,Thank-you and my week so far

I have just noticed that there have been rather a lot of reviews on here recently so I thought I’d right a post to say a huge big Thank you to all my readers/subscribers for all the entries in my competitions I am currently holding.  The HotPants Giveaway finishes at midnight tonight so I’ll be adding all entries into random.org tonight and a winner will be anounced along with screenshots of the draw in the morning.  Initially I didn’t have many entries but as the closing date has got closer and people found more out about what the Hotpants are for,I received lots more entries.Thank you to everyone that has entered and also to those of you that read my ramblings.  This blog has become another of my babies and I feel very proud of what I have achieved to date.

I haven’t had as much time as usual for personal blog posts as I’ve had a manic week.  My eldest son had his last ever school trip at his Junior school,he visited a local ski centre and a country park for the day and had a great time.  My 2 eldest children had their sports day this week so I had 2 mornings watching them participate in various races.  My 4 year old had a great week at Pre-school,not long now before big school.I’m going to be a bit sad to be honest. My children are all growing up way too quickly for my liking and I have found girl’s especially don’t want to stay little girls for long.  They, like I was at their age are in such a hurry to grow up.

Last night my 8 year old had a sleepover at school, the aim being to prepare the kids to be away from home ready for school trips.  I packed her off at 5.30pm with a lovely new Pink sleeping bag,a Pillow, some snacks, clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste and away she went.  We now know who creates the chaos in our house.  It was so quiet and calm-too quiet for my liking.  She has been away from home on occasion stayiing at friends or my dad’s for the night and she is very grown up and sensible but I still find it difficult when any of my children aren’t at home.  I am a born worry wort and like knowing where my children are and what they are up to.  That said, she has come home today, quite tired but she had a lovely time with her teachers and friends.

This summer is the end of an era for 2 of m y children and that makes me both sad and excited.Sad for them to be leaving places they have learnt so much but excited that they are progressing up to the next stage of their educational journey’s.  I aim to make the most of this summer and do as much as I can with them.

HCT Desire S

As hoped,I will soon be the very proud owner of a new phone. Snuko(http://www.facebook.com/Snuko) have been incredibly fast, friendly yet professional with all of their communication and have informed me today that the phone has already been sent by Recorded delivery.Wow,super speedy,I am impressed.Snuko is a company that has developed an incredible piece of Anti-theft and data recovery software. The purpose of the software is to encrypt data if your device is stolen so your information can’t be seen by others. Also,it has a special feature which can track where your device is upto a distance of 10 metres. This software will be included on my new phone. My current phone is a HTC Wildfire and I love the way it work’s.Hubby will be having that one and I’ll be having fun getting to grips with my HTC Desire S.

Further information can be found on their website:http://www.snuko.com

What type of competitions do you prefer?

I personally get to the point where I want a fun comp that is both a challenge and unique. What type of competitions does everyone else prefer? Which methods do people use? MSE,Loqux,UK competitions.I mainly use MSE as I find it easier to use,its what I know best.I like competitions where I give my opinion on a topic, have won a couple this way.As you will see from my blog,I like to chat about many different topics and always give my honest opinion.I was given given a lovely Video camera for Christmas from my fantastic husband and would like to start creating videos for competitions but still need practice. I recently took part in my first radio competition,it was a really fun experience and I’d definitely try again given the opportunity. My latest venture has been to apply for Simon Cowells’ new game show Red and Black which will be presented by Ant and Dec.Will let you know if I get anywhere.I really enjoy blog comps at the moment.I get bored with Twitter very quickly.

Voting competitions

Hello everyone,I hope you are enjoying the blog.I’d like to touch upon a subject that seems to divide the comping community and I’d love to hear from people both for and against them.I have participated in a couple recently but wish I hadn’t as the negative comments have started.I would prefer competitions which didnt include any voting or liking element at all but if there is a good one I will participate if I can be bothered. My opinion is that its a case of each to their own-I rarely win voting comps but am happy to help my comping buddies. Please share you’re own thoughts with me.

Competition wins 2011

Thought I’d write as list of my prize wins so far this year.I MUST start taking photo’s of what I win for future reference.I’ve been interested in competitions for years and won the odd prize here and there, then I found moneysavingexpert.com.On their forum they have a lovely thread called Competition time which lists online competitions. It also has a very comprehensive guide as to how to start comping.I still refer to this often. My first prize was for a double archway kit worth aprox £175.00 for indoors.I was convinced I could sell it or give it away to family or friends.I didnt manage to do either and ended up giving it away.It taught me not to enter competitions for thing I dont really want though-especially big items. It did however get me well and truly hooked on entering competitions.
